Does running increase leg muscle or just lose weight and fat on it?

Skullboy asked:

If it only loses fat/weight on it, what other ways can I increase my leg muscle?

    Metabolism and Your Weight

Running is aerobic in nature, which means it only works type 1 fibers in your muscles… (Think dark meat). Type 1 fibers do not have hypertrophy natures to them because they are too vascular.

All the above simply means that no, running will not make your legs bigger…. It will only burn calories, which will lead to fat reduction…

Good Luck and I Hope this helps…

Well, you may lose like a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle. Or you may just lose the fat. Other ways to increase leg muscle are:
Riding your bike for leg exercise
    Treadmill
    Jogging
    Leg Lifts
    Hope this helps! :)
