ideas to speed up my metabolism and get off this plateau?

Besides counting calories, obtaining healthy eating habits, and popping pills you must maintain a healthy plan with exercise…its the natural way of regulating your metabolism to your calorie intake. to get off the plateau your going to have to make a few changes in your eating and exercise routine. as far as the exercise goes your going to have to add in some sprints (into your cardio.) add a few 1 minute sprints in and see how you do. add more whenever that feels too easy. also, you’re going to have to pick up a total body resistance training routine 2-3 times a week as well. this will help you replace fat with muscle which burns calories at a very high rate even when you aren’t working out. make sure you get 1200 calories at the very least otherwise you are slowin gyour metabolism down. lastly, read up on good nutrition because its very tricky. our grocery stores have become a place of marketing treachery rather than a place of honest nutritional truth. the book, ‘the eat clean diet” by tosca reno is good and also ‘the volumetrics eating plan’ by barbara rolls. both these authors are noted nutritionists as well as athletes so they will give you the truth about what to eat and whta not to eat.

try a different type of work out. Do a weight bearing type of exercise, to build muscle since it burns more calories than fat does. Also be sure and eat a balanced diet, 3 meals per day, and maybe a couple low calorie snacks. Skipping meals will mess up your metabolism. I’m not sure taking a diet pill is your best option. A diet close to raw food is best for us all! Google Dr. Oz, his ideas on diet seem to be top notch in my opinion!

Continue working out, just vary or add to your current work out routine. When you hit a plateau you need to throw your body a curve ball and jump start your metabolism. Still watch what you eat but just increase your work out time/routine. That should help your metabolism and help build more muscle.

One important factor of getting off of a plateau is to increase the amount of water that you drink. When you diet there a carbon byproducts that go into your cells. Water flushes them out but if you don’t drink enough water every day these cells stay full with the toxins and if they are full your body won’t burn more fat because there is no place for it to go. So make sure that every day you are drinking enough water.
