Cholesterol is an ingredient in fats from animals: meat, cheese, milk, eggs, etc. Fats from plants: peanut butter, canola oil, olive oil, avocadoes, etc. do not have any cholesterol. 

To minimize your &quot;bad&quot; cholesterol, go easy on the animal products with high fat content: drink skim milk, use Eggbeaters instead of whole eggs, eat chicken and turkey as opposed to red meats. 

It&#039;s hard to be completely free of either fat or cholesterol...and, indeed, we need some of both in our diets to stay healthy and to regulate our appetites. We just don&#039;t need to eat Big Macs and fries every day.</description>
