    Cholesterol is an ingredient in fats from animals: meat, cheese, milk, eggs, etc. Fats from plants: peanut butter, canola oil, olive oil, avocadoes, etc. do not have any cholesterol.

    To minimize your “bad” cholesterol, go easy on the animal products with high fat content: drink skim milk, use Eggbeaters instead of whole eggs, eat chicken and turkey as opposed to red meats.

    It’s hard to be completely free of either fat or cholesterol…and, indeed, we need some of both in our diets to stay healthy and to regulate our appetites. We just don’t need to eat Big Macs and fries every day.
