I’ve read that stress causes you to gain weight and fat. What I am wondering is, does it have to be a lot of stress for this to occur and why does this occur?

it hasn’t really been directly proven. but stressful conditions like lack of sleep can raise levels of a hormone called cortisol, which triggers energy storage and slows your metabolism. your body thinks it needs to survive so it will hang on to fat.

don’t use stress as an excuse, you have 100% control over your life, have your body exist in an environment that is healthy for it. Primarily, get 9 hours of sleep every night. and this IS doable
