What is a good diet/workout plan to have for someone on a high school baseball team?

i just finished my freshman baseball season and my coach told me to get stronger and more athletic in order to be very successful. im just curious of what diet plans and what exercises in my workout would be most effective for my situation. Like what kind of foods i should stay away from and get my fill of.
